Obama Is Starting To Sound Like a Politician

I shake my head when I hear people claim they voted for Obama because they want "change." First of all, anyone as liberal as Obama is change you probably don't want. In a country with high crime rates, abortions, and homosexual marriages being allowed, I don't want more of that, I want less. However, those are individual moral issues, so I will let that go.

This morning I became outraged at a comment that came from the Obama camp claiming John McCain doesn't have enough military experience because all he did was fly an air carrier. Say what?!!! What in the heck as Obama done military wise other than play with GI Joe's perhaps. McCain has served in the senate forever and was a POW. This man was tortured and needs help combing his hair because he can barely lift his arms over his shoulder. To say he doesn't have experience as the dumbest thing I have ever heard. He has more experience than anyone. I was undecided on who I was going vote for (Clinton was the better choice) but that statement sealed the deal. Obama you are just like everyone else.

 Entitlement

Today I was standing in line at the post office and a woman cut in front of me. I politely pointed out I was in line first and she shot me a look like she was entitled to cut in front of me because she had less mail than I did. This sense of entitlement is the problem I have with many people today. I am deeply concerned that the choice we make as president could lead to more sense of entitlement and hope people will choose wisely.

 Obama-What Does He Stand For?

This year's presidental race is interesting. Currently I am undecided on who I am going to vote for. The only candiates I have completely ruled out are Ron Paul (funny but that is about it), Dennis Kucinich, Mitt Romney, and Barack Obama. I want to talk today about Obama. Obama comes across as very slick to me. He is well-dressed, well-spoken, and a great public speaker (when giving speeches, not in the debates). That being said, I am still not certain what exactly it is he stands for. When I look at his voting record, he is very, very liberal and really never did anything of significiance as a Senator. He doesn't seem to really know the issues. Do people hate the Bush or Clinton dynasties so much, that issues don't matter anymore? This isn't about race, this is about where you stand on the issues!

 To Be Less Rude

Over the holidays, I made my annual observation that our society is getting ruder and ruder. People are horrible to one another. Yesterday, I was in a store and saw a guy outside smoking a cigarette. I smiled and told him hello. In other words, I was simply being friendly. He just looked at me with no expression on his face and continued to smoke away. Would it have killed him to say hello?

Around Christmas time, I was appalled by how many people practically run over one another to purchase that last fruit cake at Wal-Mart. I also noticed how upset people look having to stand in line. I hate to you but your purchases or not any more important than anyone else.

Even certain members of my family, acted like they would rather be anywhere than spending time with their family.

Is It Me or is College Football Kind of A Joke?

I am a sports fan and a lover of fitness. I pretty much like anything when it comes to sports. However, I must confess that I have grown to dislike college football Division I-A. The regular season at times can be fun but ultimately it never satisfies. That is because the champion is not legitimate. It reminds me of the WWE. A computer decides who is in the BCS (I call it the BS). This year the "big game" is between LSU who lost two games this year and barely beat a weak Tennessee team for the SEC title and Ohio State. It is a joke. Last year, I only watched one bowl game in college football and this year I will watch none. I only watched a handful of college football games this year to begin with and next year it will be none. My viewing will be in the lower college ranks for now on and of course the NFL.
